walking with students

with sam & lydia
hello!

we are sam and lydia. for over 15 years, we’ve worked as missions workers in the heart of toronto, canada through power to change.

sam leads a team coaching and mentoring students directly at toronto met university.  in a separate role, he leads staff across the country in the areas of evangelistic innovation  and contextual agility.

lydia is part of two separate teams - one which provides training and equipping for all staff in canada and a second creative and resourcing team.
picture something different

from career and skills to relationships and values, the time we spend in university has a disproportionate impact on the rest of our lives.

as students are formed and graduate, they become people who will in turn shape our churches, workplaces, neighborhoods and communities.

it’s not a question of if, but what and who they will be captivated by.

our spiritual lives are a vital part of what it means to flourish. so starting with wherever each student is at, we want to help them take a next step toward Jesus.

we want students to trust Jesus not just for a conceptual future, but in a way that ultimately helps them make sense of the everyday ordinary.

and in doing so, the hope that Jesus offers becomes both relevant today and beautiful.
Being a part of Sam and Lydia's support team has been an invaluable experience that has deepened my appreciation for the significance of engaging students with the gospel during this crucial and formative time in their lives. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to partner with Sam and Lydia all these years!
- Dave W,  Engineering Consultant & Project Manager

I've seen my own faith grow along with the rest of the P2C community. Through participating in a global missions trip, I had the opportunity to share my faith with people who'd never heard the gospel or even met a Christian before. It was through the equipping and empowering by staff and my community at P2C that I took this step of faith, walking in obedience with the Lord, which is now impacting the way I live among my peers. .

Prior to my first day of as a university student, I met Sam and he has been a faithful brother in journeying alongside me and encouraging me to root my identity in our Lord and Saviour, Jesus. That no matter the challenges we face in life, we can put our trust and faith in Him, something I continue to do to this very day.

As a former student and present ministry team supporter, P2C has helped me ask serious and life-changing questions about my faith and life priorities that ignited my return to placing Jesus at the centre of my life.
